The Joint Commission
An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 17,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States.
Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. TMMS is JCAHO accredited, which is a voluntary process in which an entity, separate and distinct from the health care organization, usually nongovernmental, assesses the health care organization to determine if it meets a set of requirements designed to improve quality of care.
Accreditation provides a visible commitment by an organization to improve the quality of patient care and/or services, ensure a safe environment and continually work to reduce risks to patients and staff.
